All financial companies need to share customers' personal information to run their everyday business. Below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers' personal information, and whether William Penn Settlement, LLC shares on that basis:
- For our everyday business purposes, such as to process your transactions, issue title insurance commitments and policies, conduct settlements, maintain escrow accounts, respond to court orders and legal investigations, or report to credit bureaus: we share. You cannot limit this sharing.
- For our marketing purposes, to offer our products and services to you: we do not share.
- For joint marketing with other financial companies: we do not share.
- For our affiliates' everyday business purposes, meaning information about your transactions and experiences: we share. You cannot limit this sharing.
- For our affiliates to market to you: we do not share.
- For nonaffiliates to market to you: we do not share.
How do we protect your personal information?
To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings. Settlement funds are held in separate, federally insured fiduciary accounts, with daily reconciliation, Positive Pay, and verified-callback controls on wire disbursements.
How do we collect your personal information?
We collect your personal information, for example, when you:
- Apply for title insurance or open a settlement file with us
- Provide account or wire information for a closing
- Give us your contact information or communicate with us about a transaction
We also collect your personal information from others, such as lenders, real estate agents, attorneys, public records, or other companies involved in your transaction.
Website analytics and cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service that uses cookies to help us understand how visitors find and use the site: for example, which pages are visited and which referral sources bring visitors here. This information is aggregated website-usage data; it is not combined with the personal or transaction information you provide to us in connection with a settlement or title insurance file. Affiliates
Affiliates are companies related by common ownership or control. William Penn Settlement, LLC is affiliated with Ament Law Group, P.C., a Pennsylvania professional corporation providing legal services. As described above, we share information about your transactions and experiences with our affiliate for its everyday business purposes, for example, where the same transaction involves both settlement services from this company and legal services from the firm.
Where a client of the firm is referred to this agency, a written Affiliated Business Arrangement Disclosure is provided at or before the time of the referral, as required by the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and use of this agency is never required.
